Welcome to Heavenly Stems Acupuncture! Melissa Margolis L.Ac. MSTCM is a licensed acupuncturist practicing since 2005. We offer an array of services including acupuncture, cupping, and herbal formulas.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Heavenly Stems Acupuncture has been on temporary hiatus for acupuncture sessions since March 2020, which meant saying goodbye to our office location of the last 10 years. Reopening date projected for mid 2023.

UPDATE FROM MELISSA: as of March 2023, I have not found a new location, but I am actively looking in Alameda and San Leandro. I will continue to update this website. I am looking for a space with good ventilation and easy access for those with disabilities. This could take time.
On request, we are happy to provide zoom tele-medicine herbal consultations for existing patients. Not currently accepting new patients. We are also happy to provide referrals to other acupuncturists who are currently operating.

Upon reopening, full Covid precautions will be in place. Face coverings will continue to be required. Melissa wears an N95 mask at all times. The office will be equipped with a medical grade HEPA filter. The world is divided on how to proceed with Covid amongst us, but Melissa aligns with those who are still cautious about this new pathogen, and wish to avoid infection or reinfection. Focus is on creating a safer space for immune-compromised and at-risk patients, and for those who consider themselves Covid-cautious. Melissa is fully vaccinated and double boosted.

In our initial reopening, we will only be able to accept insurance as an out-of-network provider.
